Punjab Minister Shares Details on Industrial Estates for FY 2022
According to news sources, Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal examined the progress of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation’s establishment of small industries in Lahore.
The minister noted that work is now underway on five Punjab Small Industries Corporation initiatives and that nine more will be introduced in the upcoming fiscal year.

The following are the nine schemes scheduled for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Renovation of Sialkot’s sports equipment and material testing laboratory
- Establishment of a tannery zone and development hub for handicrafts in Wahwa, DG Khan
- Establishment of a facility for the development of handicrafts in Kamalia New Industrial Estate will be built in Gujrat, Artisan Village in Khewra, and Surgical City in Sialkot.
Under the cluster development initiatives, four clusters, comprising surgical, auto parts, ready-to-wear clothes, and leather footwear, have been finished and their performance audit instructions have been provided. In addition, four additional clusters will be created.

In addition, the minister noted that PKR 10 billion has been allocated for the Punjab Rozgar Scheme in the current fiscal year, and that PKR 30 billion in soft loans will be distributed under this scheme.
