13 Ongoing Grid Stations in Merged Districts
Naeem Khan, the Chief Engineer of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), stated on Wednesday, according to reports, that PDEO is working on 13 grid stations in merging districts as well as 7 projects of 23MW hydel power in the province.

During a meeting with Sahibzada Saeed Ahmed, CM Special Assistant on Energy and Power, the Chief Engineer discussed various hydroelectric power projects, including Jabori 10.2 MW, Carora 11.8 MW, Koto 40.8 MW, Mittaltan 84MW, Kavi 69MW, Chaprio Charkhel 10.5 MW, and Brando 6.5 MW.
Moreover, he stated that with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), work is underway on the greatest project (the 300 MW Balakot Hydro Power Project). With the assistance of the World Bank, the 127 MW Madin Swat and 88 MW Gabral Kalam hydropower plants are being constructed.

He claimed that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Transmission and Grid Company has been established for the first time to improve the power system in the province and ensure the supply of electricity produced locally.
