Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the leader of the Khalistan Movement and prominent figure in the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organization, has issued a strong statement of solidarity with Pakistan, claiming that 20 million Sikhs worldwide support the country. In his recent remarks, Pannu asserted that India would not attack Pakistan in 2025, contrasting the current geopolitical climate with that of previous conflicts in 1965 and 1971. He stated, “We stand with Pakistan like a brick. This is 2025, and India won’t attack.”
Pannu heavily criticized India’s treatment of minorities, particularly the Sikh community, and pledged that Sikhs would take a stand to prevent any military action against Pakistan through Punjab. He declared, “We won’t let the Indian Army pass through Punjab to attack Pakistan.” Pannu emphasized that Sikhs have historically never initiated violence, pointing out that Indian leaders who did, including former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ultimately failed in their objectives.

In addition, Pannu called for accountability of Indian leaders on an international level. He urged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Amit Shah, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval should be prosecuted under international law for their alleged actions against minorities. Referring to recent incidents in Pahalgam, Pannu accused Indian authorities of orchestrating violence against their own citizens, further intensifying his criticism of the Indian government.
Pannu’s comments come amid ongoing tensions between pro-Khalistan activists and the Indian government, with increased scrutiny on human rights issues and minority rights within India. His remarks are likely to fuel further debate on the geopolitical and domestic implications of the Khalistan Movement’s international advocacy and its alignment with Pakistan on regional security matters.
