3G/4G Users in Pakistan Decrease by 1.04 Million in June
According to figures from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), cellular subscribers, broadband penetration, and teledensity all decreased in Pakistan for the third consecutive month in June 2023.
By the end of May 2023, there were 192.27 million cellular users; by the end of June, there were 190.95 million.
In Pakistan, there were 123.07 million 3G and 4G customers at the end of June, down from 124.11 million at the end of May.

By the end of June, there were 52.34% of monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) subscribers, up from 52.3% at the end of May.
The total teledensity decreased from 82.12% to 81.43%, while the cellular teledensity dropped from 81.03% at the end of May to 80.34% at the end of June.
Jazz’s overall 3G user count decreased by 0.07 million from 4.445 million at the end of May to 4.375 million, representing a fall. Users of Jazz 4G fell from 42.377 million to 42.356 million for the same time frame.
While the number of Zong 4G customers climbed from 32.298 million to 32.492 million during May and June, the number of 3G subscribers fell from 2.577 million to 2.526 million.

Between May and June, Telenor’s 3G subscribers fell from 2.841 million to 2.803 million, while its 4G users fell from 22.934 million to 22.896 million.
By the end of June, there were 2.687 million Ufone 3G subscribers, down from 2.705 million at the end of May. Ufone saw a 0.28 million growth in the number of 4G customers, from 12.498 million to 12.778 million.
