8-month Revenue Collection Details Shared by KPRA
According to our sources, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Agency (KPRA) has accumulated 21.1 billion PKR in the first eight months of the current fiscal year (202122), according to a Friday filing (March 25).

Prime Minister Mahmood Khan presided over the 10th session of the KPRA’s policy-making body, during which tax collecting figures were disclosed. According to the specifics, KPRA’s total revenue in 201819 (201819) was 10.4 billion Pakistani rupees, while its total revenue in 201920 was 17.1 billion Pakistani rupees. During the 2020-2021 fiscal year, government agencies raised Rs 21 billion. The organization anticipates 30 billion rupees in revenue by the conclusion of the fiscal year.
In addition, guests were advised that the relationship between filing and tax registration had been enhanced. Authorities have indicated that various digital improvements, including the B. POS system and restaurant information management system, have begun to aid taxpayers.

Reportedly, the group was informed that new legislation and legislative changes were being enacted to enhance KPRA. It has been stated that a number of laws, including the Infrastructure Development Act and the Service Tax Act, will be ratified.
