ACE Probes Illegal Construction by Businessman
Multan: A routine investigation into alleged illegal construction by an industrial unit has been started by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan.

The ACE is also looking into allegations that Multan Development Authority (MDA) and Multan District Council/Metropolitan Corporation personnel may have engaged in illegal building activity as well as tax evasion.
According to the complainant Sarfaraz, Anjam was a well-known industrialist in the city who frequently donated money to departments, people, and organizations in order to conceal his unlawful operations while having those departments, people, and organizations defend his illegal acts.

He claimed that the accused is continuously depleting the national coffers by dodging significant government obligations and taxes in exchange for meager gifts and offerings.
He asked that the situation be thoroughly investigated, that the responsible parties be identified, and that legal action be taken to recover all the money from the accused after reevaluating it in light of the fact that the building site is under MDA’s control.

The inquiry is ongoing, and relevant departments have been told to produce the necessary records, according to ACE Director Haidar Abbas Watto.
