ADB Extends Support to Pakistan for Enhancing Food Security
Young Ye, the country director for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has commended Pakistan on its agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the accompanying good changes in the economy that have occurred since the standby arrangement (SBA) was approved.
Senator Ishaq Dar, the federal minister of finance and revenue, received a visit from a group from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) today at the finance division. The group was led by Country Director Young Ye.
Dar greeted the delegation and commended the ADB for its important work in advancing sustainable development in Pakistan. He updated the delegation on the recent SBA and informed them of the country’s current economic situation.

The minister discussed the government’s aims for change in the areas of domestic revenue generation, energy sector reforms, and finance that is accessible to women. The discussion also covered the timely implementation of ongoing development projects supported by ADB.
The minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completing the SBA as well as the government’s commitment to meeting its international responsibilities on time.
