Adobe has announced a new set of AI-powered features for Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Express, including a tool that can generate audio podcasts directly from PDF documents. The update is part of Adobe’s wider strategy to integrate generative AI across its creative and productivity products.

In recent weeks, Adobe has been steadily expanding its AI capabilities, rolling out integrations with ChatGPT across Photoshop, Acrobat, and Express, along with enhanced image-generation support in Firefly. The latest additions focus more on practical, everyday productivity use cases.

One of the key new features allows users to automatically create full presentations using Adobe’s AI Assistant. By uploading content such as financial reports, product documents, competitive research, or web pages into Acrobat’s AI-powered PDF Spaces, the system analyzes the material and generates a structured presentation. The AI first builds an outline and then produces complete slides based on the user’s preferred tone, length, and visual style.

Adobe says this presentation feature is deeply integrated with Adobe Express. Once a deck is generated, users can fine-tune it by editing text, adjusting layouts, swapping images, changing fonts and colors, and even adding animations before sharing it with their teams.

The update also introduces prompt-based PDF editing. Instead of manually revising documents, users can now give simple text instructions to the AI, such as rewriting sections, summarizing content, or adjusting formatting. This is designed to make PDF editing faster and more accessible, especially for non-technical users.

Another standout addition is the ability to turn PDFs into audio podcasts. Written documents can be converted into spoken audio, allowing users to listen to content while commuting or multitasking. Adobe says this feature will be particularly helpful for students, educators, professionals working through long reports, and content creators looking to repurpose written material.

Overall, the new tools signal Adobe’s push to move beyond creative design and into smarter document workflows, using AI to help users create, edit, and consume content more efficiently.
