Aerial firing during New Year celebrations disturbed public order in Karachi, leaving dozens injured across different parts of the city.
According to details that emerged on Thursday, multiple incidents of aerial firing were reported on the first night of the new year. As a result, at least 28 people sustained injuries in various neighbourhoods.

Rescue officials said that the injured included two young girls and one woman, who were hit by stray bullets while inside their homes or nearby areas. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Police launched operations in several localities following the incidents. During these actions, 59 suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in aerial firing and creating fear among the public.
Authorities once again urged citizens to avoid celebratory gunfire, warning that such actions pose serious risks to lives and property. Law enforcement agencies said strict action would continue against those involved in violating the law.
