Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has stressed that the national side needs to perform strongly against major opponents to secure victories in the tournament.
Speaking on Samaa TV’s Zor Ka Jor program on Thursday, Afridi also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying both he and the “Godi media” had worsened relations between Pakistan and India.
Pakistan advanced to the next round after defeating the United Arab Emirates by 41 runs. They will now face traditional rivals India in the Super 4s on Sunday.
