The Ahmedabad Police has squads prepared to handle chemical, nuclear, and other types of assaults to enhance security for the Pakistan-India match on October 14.
Gyanendra Singh Malik, the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner, revealed the elaborate security measures in place for the eagerly anticipated Pakistan-India cricket match slated on October 14 during a recent news conference. The police have implemented many security measures in this regard because the match is expected to draw thousands of fans, making it a top priority to ensure the safety of all participants.
Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik ordered the deployment of over 7,000 police officers and an additional 4,000 Home Guards, outlining the measures. In order to efficiently manage security arrangements on match day, he added that four joint commissioners and 21 Deputy Commissioners of Police will assume responsibility.

In an effort to be proactive, the police are making use of specialized units like the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Anti-Discrimination and Hate Crime Response Force (ADRF), all of which are capable of identifying threats that are chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear in nature. The Ahmedabad Police have also requested the assistance of a specialized bomb disposal squad and an anti-drone team to address any drone and explosives issues.
