AirPods Pro 3 vs Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: Which Premium Earbuds Come Out on Top?

Table of Contents

Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are two of the most talked-about wireless earbuds of the year. After months of real-world use, one thing is clear: both brands have built products deeply tied to their own ecosystems, and the experience you get depends heavily on the device you use.

The AirPods Pro 3 show their full strength only when paired with an iPhone. Features like Spatial Audio, Live Translation, Find My support, automatic device switching, and wearing detection are exclusive to Apple devices. These additions make the earbuds feel more advanced within the Apple ecosystem, even though they still work over Bluetooth with other devices.

Samsung follows the same pattern. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offer their best performance with Samsung Galaxy phones, unlocking fast pairing, Auto Switch, and AI tools like Interpreter mode for real-time translation. Android users also benefit from the Samsung Wear app, which provides noise control settings, EQ adjustments, and additional customization options.

Battery life gives Apple a small lead. The AirPods Pro 3 deliver up to 8 hours of playback with ANC and 24 hours with the case. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offer 6 hours and up to 20 hours with the case. Both models share an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance and include advanced audio modes like ANC, transparency, and adaptive listening.

One of Apple’s biggest upgrades is the heart rate monitor built inside the AirPods Pro 3. It supports more than 50 workout types through the Apple Fitness app, giving users both audio quality and fitness tracking in one device. Apple’s new AI-based Workout Buddy adds personalized encouragement during exercise.

On the other hand, Samsung gives users more control over how their earbuds sound. The Buds 3 Pro include a wide nine-band EQ and multiple presets for those who like detailed sound customization. They also deliver heavier bass, appealing to users who prefer a stronger low-end.

For iPhone users, the AirPods Pro 3 offer a smoother experience, better battery life, and exclusive features that make daily use easier. For Android users, especially those with Samsung phones, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offer flexibility, deeper bass, and more customizable audio.

Both earbuds sit at the top of their categories, but the better choice ultimately depends on the ecosystem you rely on the most.
