Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan has praised the security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation in Bajaur and paid tribute to Pakistan Army officer Major Adeel Zaman, who embraced martyrdom during the action.
In a statement, Aleem Khan said that five militants supported by India were killed in the operation. He said the security forces engaged the terrorists with courage and professionalism, dealing a strong blow to elements working against the country.
The minister said that during the intense exchange of fire, Major Adeel Zaman sacrificed his life while defending the nation. He described the officer as a brave son of Pakistan whose martyrdom would always be remembered with honour.
“We stand with the family of the martyr,” Aleem Khan said. “May Allah raise the ranks of Major Adeel Zaman and grant patience and strength to his bereaved family.”
He added that Pakistan’s security forces remain like an iron wall against all hostile forces and will continue to protect the country at every cost.
