Actress Alizeh Shah has spoken openly about her battle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), saying the harsh realities of the entertainment industry left her “broken from within.”

In a recent Instagram post, the Ehd-e-Wafa star shared that long, exhausting shoots and the way she was treated on set deeply damaged her mental health.

“People think I spoke out for more projects, but such assumptions hurt me. I am living with PTSD,” she wrote, adding that the constant pressure made her hate herself at one point.

Calling Out Toxic Culture

Alizeh described showbiz as “humiliating,” saying she often felt worthless during grueling schedules. She stressed that she isn’t looking for sympathy or pity roles — only space to heal.

“My intention is not to gain new work but to be left alone, as these memories continue to make me ill,” she explained.

Past Controversies

The actress has previously been in the spotlight for on-set disputes. In 2021, she accused fellow actress Minsa Malik of slapping her during a shoot. Alizeh admitted she hit back with a sandal and later filed a defamation case, claiming Malik threatened her and tried to damage her reputation.

Spotlight on Mental Health

PTSD is a serious condition that can cause flashbacks, anxiety, depression, and emotional distress. By sharing her experience, Alizeh has opened up an important conversation about mental health and toxic workplace culture in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
