Action taken by the overseas office on Wednesday flatly denied reports in the media that suggested border crossings between Pakistan and Iran were shut down, making it clear that all official entry points were now operational. The statement against such utterances in social media and some news platform of the region came from spokesperson of Foreign Office denouncing the allegations as “false and misleading”. It was further made clear that it has been neither formally nor informally decided to suspend or restrict movement along Pakistan-Iran borders. To the contrary, speculations especially pertaining to the crossings in Balochistan, all were confirmed by the spokesperson to be open, as flows were building in, without any disruption of goods or movement of people. The attempt is directed at clearing any ambiguities and reemphasizing the normalcy of operating across borders.
