The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared another housing project in Zone 4 illegal.
According to the document, “Belgium Town” was declared illegal.
The CDA has issued a notice under Section 49-C of the CDA Rules, 1960, and ICT Zoning Rules, 1992, alleging that Belgian Town is being advertised and sold without the authority’s permission.
According to the CDA notification, any housing scheme shall be launched by the provisions of ICT (Zoning) Regulations, 1992, as amended in 2010, and the modalities and procedures for planning and developing private housing schemes in ICT Islamabad.

CDA has warned the general public against making reservations, sales, and purchases in these illegal housing projects and land subdivisions.
It also urges the public to check the legal status of the scheme from the CDA before making any investments and requests the public to visit its website for the latest status of the system and approved layout plans.
The CD said it had posted a list of illegal housing societies on its website.
CDA accepts no liability in the event of fraud or loss.
The Capital Development Authority has also requested that IESCO, SNGPL, and PTCL not provide power utility connections to this illegally developed project without CDA approval.
The CDA also warned sponsors and managers of illegal housing projects to desist from unlawful advertising, reservation, allocation, and transfer marketing of land, properties, and apartments.
According to the CDA, its authorities are already busy cracking down on illegal activities.
