Arshad Nadeem Makes History with Record Olympic Gold

Arshad Nadeem has made history by winning Pakistan’s first-ever individual Olympic gold medal. Contesting in the javelin throw, Nadeem performed a record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters, setting a new personal best and the longest distance ever recorded in the event’s history.

In a intensely contested final, India’s Neeraj Chopra threw 89.45 meters, while Grenada’s Anderson Peters reached 87.87 meters. Nadeem’s second throw of 90 meters had already beaten his previous record from the World Athletics Championships, showing his remarkable consistency and skill in the sport.

On his third attempt, Nadeem threw 88.72 meters, maintaining his lead and solidifying his position for the gold medal. With a commanding performance, he secured the Olympic gold, becoming Pakistan’s first individual Olympic gold medalist since the country’s Olympic debut.
