The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued an arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, in connection with a case related to the November 26 protest. The case was registered at the Sadiqabad police station under anti-terrorism charges.

During Wednesday’s hearing, Aleema Khan’s request for a one-day exemption from personal appearance was turned down by the court. The judge directed that she must be present for indictment proceedings, which have been scheduled for October 11.

Prosecutor Zaheer Shah raised objections over the absence of power of attorneys for Aleema Khan’s legal counsels, Muhammad Faisal Malik and Hasnain Sumbal. He argued that without these documents, the lawyers could not legally represent her in the case.

The court accepted the objection and confirmed that Aleema Khan must appear in person at the next hearing. The proceedings on October 11 will formally begin the indictment process.

The case is linked to protests held on November 26, where several PTI leaders and supporters were booked under anti-terrorism laws.
