An Australian police officer has made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups completed in one hour. Jade Henderson, 32, achieved an incredible total of 733 pull-ups, surpassing the previous record of 725 that was set in 2016 by another Australian, Eva Clarke. The record had remained unbeaten for almost ten years before Henderson’s remarkable performance.
Henderson, who serves in the Australian police force, said her motivation came from a desire to test both her physical and mental strength. Initially, she planned to attempt the 24-hour pull-up world record, which is currently held by Olivia Vinson from Australia with an astonishing 7,079 pull-ups.
However, a bicep injury during training forced Henderson to change her plans. She took six weeks off to recover fully before deciding to focus on the one-hour category instead, aiming to push her limits without risking another injury.
Her determination paid off as she powered through the challenge, averaging more than 12 pull-ups per minute. Spectators and fitness enthusiasts around the world praised her strength, focus, and perseverance.
Henderson’s record-breaking performance has inspired many and added another proud moment for Australia in the world of fitness achievements. She said the journey taught her that setbacks can become stepping stones to success when faced with resilience and belief in oneself.
