(Web Desk) – Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has announced a $2 billion investment plan for Pakistan during a summit held with Turkey and Pakistan.
President Aliyev said that the three countries are discussing several joint projects worth $2 billion, and Pakistan is likely to get the biggest share. These projects will focus on areas like infrastructure, energy, and technology.
He also talked about the importance of working together on defense to help keep the region safe and stable.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also took part in the summit. He said that Turkey fully supports both Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Erdoğan also spoke about helping Azerbaijan rebuild after its recent conflict and called attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, asking the world to take action.
Top Pakistani officials attended the meeting, and officials said that agreements and joint plans will be signed in the next few weeks.
Pakistan has not yet officially confirmed the details of the investment, but sources say that talks are moving forward and final decisions are expected soon.
