The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sent a group of four people to Pakistan today to discuss vital issues before the crucial season.
The delegation entered Pakistan for two days under the leadership of BCCI President Roger Binny and in the company of Vice-President Rajeev Shukla.
According to media reports, the focus of this important tour is the game of cricket itself, putting a greater emphasis on cricketing ties than political dimensions.

Tonight, a formal banquet in their honour will likely be hosted by Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, with other prominent individuals in attendance.
Bilateral negotiations with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), particularly the impending World Cup in India in 2023, are on the delegation’s main agenda.
The delegates will also watch live cricket action during a match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in addition to these important discussions.
Rajeev Shukla made it clear in a media interview before travelling to Pakistan that the trip’s focus is on cricket-related concerns rather than political ones.
“Politics are not involved. The Punjab Governor has planned a banquet for us tonight as part of our two-day tour, Rajeev Shukla told the media.
