Belarus Launches E-Visa for 67 Countries

In a major step toward digital transformation, Belarus is set to launch its much-anticipated E-Visa system on March 20, 2025, allowing eligible travelers from 67 countries to apply for a single-entry visa online—eliminating the need to visit embassies or consulates.

This streamlined process will make it easier for tourists, business travelers, students, and participants in cultural and sporting events to travel to Belarus with ease.

Who Can Apply for the Belarus E-Visa?

Eligible countries include major nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and most EU member states. Travelers from Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and other regions are also on the list, totaling 67 eligible countries.

Key Features of the Belarus E-Visa

The Belarus Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlines several important benefits of the E-Visa system:

  • Single-entry visa for ordinary passport holders
  • Valid for 30 days from the date of issue
  • Entirely online application process
  • No visa support documents required
  • Processing time: 7 calendar days
  • Accepted at major entry points including Minsk National Airport, regional airports, and road and rail checkpoints
  • Applicable for business, tourism, internships, private visits, and participation in sports, cultural, scientific, and educational events

The system was introduced under Government Decree No. 953, signed on December 16, 2024.

How to Apply for the Belarus E-Visa

Starting March 20, 2025, travelers can apply by:

  1. Creating an account on the official E-Visa portal “E-Pasluga” (available via web and mobile).
  2. Selecting service code 3.04.01 under “E-visa issuance.”
  3. Filling out the application and uploading required information.
  4. Paying the visa fee via Visa International or Mastercard Worldwide.
  5. Receiving the approved E-Visa electronically and presenting it digitally or in print upon arrival.
