Harsha Bhogle, an Indian cricket commentator, praised Shubman Gill’s batting ability and leadership on Thursday after the latter scored his first double century in the second Test match against England in Birmingham.
Bhogle praised Gill’s batting performance and tenacity on X (previously Twitter). “Very lovely from Shubman Gill,” he remarked.
Bhogle remarked, “He has appeared so calm and unconcerned.”
“He has reached a new level,” he remarked.
At tea on the second day, India was 564-7 and dominated the hosts. Gill was undefeated at 265, and Akash Deep was with him.
