Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has acknowledged the involvement of former U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in facilitating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India. Speaking during a press briefing at the United Nations Headquarters, Bhutto-Zardari emphasized the need for peace and highlighted recent escalations along the border.

He alleged that India had used Israeli drones to carry out attacks on Pakistani territory, drawing parallels between Indian and Israeli military tactics and accusing both of violating international laws. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, stating that the people of both nations desire peace in the region.

Bhutto-Zardari condemned India’s unauthorized strikes on May 7, declaring them illegal under the United Nations Charter and international law. He detailed the consequences of these attacks, stating that dams, religious sites, and civilian infrastructure were targeted, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians, including children.

Criticizing the Modi administration for ongoing human rights violations, Bhutto-Zardari called on the international community to intervene and pressure India to prevent further escalation. He underscored Pakistan’s readiness for peaceful engagement and urged global leaders to support efforts aimed at maintaining regional stability.
