Inzamam-ul-Haq, a former cricket hero, has left his position as Pakistan’s chief selector.
He reportedly submitted his resignation to Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in response to claims that he had a conflict of interest and had dealt with players’ agent Talha Rahmani.
Inzamam-ul-Haq was called to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore earlier today by the PCB chairman to conduct an inquiry into these claims.
According to reports, Inzamam-ul-Haq was accused of sharing profits and shares in the British company Yazoo, as well as of having a partnership with players’ agent Talha Rahmani in the UK.

Concerns over possible conflicts of interest have been raised by these charges because Talha Rahmani is the legal representative of a number of well-known Pakistani cricket players, including Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and captain Babar Azam.
Zaka Ashraf alluded to the prospect of looking into Inzamam’s purported affiliation with a player agent’s company in a recent interview with a local news channel. This is to make sure that the national cricket team’s selection procedure is free from conflicts of interest and upholds the highest standards of integrity.
