Recently, a news outlet claimed that Canada’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Wendy Gilmour, stated that the Canadian business sector views Pakistan as an attractive investment destination in the domains of power generation, power transmission systems, and mining.

The minister briefed the Canadian High Commissioner on the improvement of investment infrastructure and the expansion of several economic sectors between the two nations. Pakistan has worked to improve tax collection, promote exports, raise remittances, and create a more sustainable energy business, he said.
The minister stated that Canada is one of Pakistan’s most important development partners and that there is a need to improve business and economic ties between the two nations.

He stated that the Kamyab Pakistan Programme would be its flagship project for promoting entrepreneurship among Pakistan’s young.
In addition, the minister stated that the government was creating separate short-, medium-, and long-term plans for inclusive and sustainable growth in 14 key areas, and that these measures would establish a more stable platform for economic recovery.
