CDA approves linking Margalla Avenue with M1
According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a new route will soon link Margalla Avenue and the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1).
This gigantic PKR 5.45 billion project was approved by the CDA Development Working Party (DWP), which is chaired by CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal. According to the press report, completion is anticipated in 8 months.

The proposals call for the construction of an intersection with N-5 and a six-lane road facility. The interchange system is included in the project’s $5,452.011 million price tag overall.
Unnamed CDA officials stated that after the PC-I for the project is authorized, they will work to purchase the required land. Each of the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad has a building site that is 1.8 and 1.6 kilometers long, respectively. The segment in Islamabad will be constructed by the CDA.
