CDA Board Favors Budget for FY 2021-22

Islamabad: According to news reports, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved a PKR 156.35 billion budget for the authority’s non-development and development expenditures in the approaching next fiscal year (2021–22).

Since the approved budget for this fiscal year is PKR 156 million against PKR 82 million in expenses, a budget surplus of PKR 73.9 million is allotted.

Shakeel Jazeb, a member of the finance committee, presented the budget, which included PKR 40 billion for development projects.

The development projects’ details are as follows:

2 billion Pakistani rupees have been set aside for the construction of affordable housing in Farash Town,
60 million for the Rawal Chowk Signal Free Corridor, and 10 million for Margalla Avenue.
Street lights, parks, water supply, and sanitation are among the projects that would receive the PKR 5 billion allotted for maintenance and beautification.
The PWD underpass, 7th Avenue, 10th Avenue, IJ Principal Road, a women’s club, and a new slaughterhouse are among the significant development projects that the CDA has also approved.

Additionally, the Corona Allowance has been approved for the following five months for officers and staff in grades 1 through 19. In addition, the board has authorised the development of a waste disposal landfill at F-16.
