CDA Development Working Party Approves 8 Projects
The Capital Development Authority Development Working Group (CDA-DWP) authorized eight capital development projects. The Development Working Group had its 53rd meeting at the CDA Secretariat under the leadership of Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed.

In the meeting, PC-Is and PC-IIs for eight development projects were approved. The Islamabad Bus Service project cost was approved at Rs 873 million. This undertaking will be finished by February 2022. The bus service would operate over three routes, including Sohan Garden to Faisal Mosque, Barakahu to Faiz Ahmed Faiz Metro Station, and Tarnol Railway Station to M5 Metro Station.
At a cost of Rs689 million, contemporary equipment will be purchased to boost the sanitation department’s in-house machinery in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness in Islamabad. Similarly, a project totaling Rs4013 million to purchase equipment to increase the MPO Directorate’s capability was approved.

This will drastically minimize CDA expenditures. In order to alleviate traffic congestion in Islamabad, the meeting also approved the construction of underpasses at the intersection of Ataturk Avenue, Sector G-5, and G-6 at a cost of Rs 193 million, as well as the widening of Jinnah Avenue and Ayub Chowk from Ataturk Avenue at a cost of Rs157 million.
These endeavors will be concluded within six months. In addition, CDA-DWP has granted Rs 20 million for the Smart City project’s feasibility study. According to the officials, it has also approved the opening of YouTube and FM radio to improve communication between the CDA and the public.
