Islamabad: According to a source, on January 16, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) revealed plans for an extensive two-year model village project in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to address the community’s housing needs.
According to the information, the massive project, which is expected to be completed in the next two years, would cover 3,621 kanals of land and include the development of 4,500 residential plots, each measuring 10 hectares. To meet the various demands of its residents, the model village will also have three class 3 shopping centers and a commercial center in addition to its residential section.

Apart from the residential and commercial aspects, the model village will feature a health center to guarantee the residents’ well-being and a Jamia mosque that will act as a spiritual center for the community.
One noteworthy feature of this project is its goal to distribute every residential plot to people who were harmed by the CDA’s land acquisition for the Park Enclave development. The main beneficiaries of this housing project would be individuals who are affected in Mauza Kurri and Rihara.
