CDA Issues Notices to Nine Illegal Housing Schemes
Islamabad: This week, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) sent warning letters to nine unlicensed housing developments.

An official declared that all illegal housing developments would be subject to action after a drive was launched at the request of CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed. He said that nine illegal housing developments had received notifications over the previous four days.
The owners of these societies have been urged to immediately stop any construction activities, or the CDA will not only file complaints against them but also take enforcement action.

The operators of unlawful housing schemes, on the other hand, continued to expand and sold out plots to civilians without any significant obstacles.
Citizens are currently suffering as a result of the CDA’s recent request to utility providers to refrain from issuing new connections in the unlawful housing schemes. This is all due to the CDA’s carelessness, which failed to practically stop the spread of the illegal housing schemes.
Yet, a housing directorate officer claimed that he was not accountable for CDA’s prior performance.
