The CDA considers these constructions a violation of multiple regulations, including the CDA Ordinance 1960, Pakistan Capital Regulations 1982, ICT Regulations 1992, and Building Control Regulations 2020.
It is urging the public to avoid buying or selling plots in Zamar Valley or H-17 Zone 1. Transactions involving these plots are not legally recognized and could lead to serious legal trouble.
The CDA is calling on everyone involved in these illegal activities – sponsors, sellers, builders, developers, advertisers, promoters, and estate agents – to cease immediately. Ignoring this warning could result in legal action.
They have already initiated legal proceedings against those responsible for the illegal constructions. This includes holding sponsors, sellers, builders, and developers accountable for promoting and carrying out unauthorized development.
Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) have been directed to withhold new electricity and gas connections in these illegal settlements and disconnect any existing illegal connections.
The CDA Deputy Commissioner has the authority to enforce punitive measures against violators. This could include imprisonment and the demolition of illegal structures, ensuring Islamabad adheres to its regulatory standards.
The CDA’s crackdown aims to deter future illegal construction and maintain a well-regulated development environment in the capital city.
