Islamabad: The Margallah Avenue Link Road project’s completion deadline was declared by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The road project, which connects Margalla Avenue with E-11 and includes an interchange, is almost finished, according to a CDA Member Engineering. By the end of February, the project that was started in December 2022 will have its new deadline.
The project includes building an interchange and a 5.5-kilometer road. It took longer than expected to complete, with an original deadline of June 20, 2023. Regarding the enlargement and extension of the Islamabad Expressway from Koral Interchange to T-chowk, Member Engineering voiced optimism. The contractor’s acceleration of on-site construction activities has been regarded as a critical component in accomplishing this goal.

The 5.5 km highway that is now under construction connects Khayaban-i-Iqbal to sector D-12, the terminus of Margalla Avenue, and includes the installation of an interchange and flyover at E-11. The goal of this project is to lessen traffic in the capital and increase connectivity.
Margalla Avenue connects G.T. Road and D-12 and is approximately 10 km long. This road was heavily traveled by cars. However, there are issues for tourists when they get to D-12 therefore, the route needs to be extended. In order to address this problem, the CDA began building work in December of the previous year.
The development of 11th Avenue, which will further connect with the previously mentioned road projects, was also announced by the CDA. But as of right now, there hasn’t been any official start to development along this corridor.
