ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and CDA Chairman, Captain (R) Anwar ul Haq, have led a vigorous campaign against environmental pollution and haze in the capital in an effort to protect Islamabad’s natural beauty. Addressing the plastics factory in Sector I-13, Shams Colony, which is known for releasing pollutants that pose a threat to the environment, the Enforcement Wing carried out a comprehensive operation.
The plant owners were given notice to show up before Senior Special Magistrate CDA’s court and faced immediate repercussions. The Senior Special Magistrate imposed jail time, penalties, and immediate shutdown of the industries in question. As a result, the proprietors were placed under detention in custody.

The Enforcement, Environment, and Sanitation Wing was forced to conduct the operation impartially by the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad and the Chairman of the CDA’s harsh directives. Departmental sanctions would be taken against the accountable officials in the event of any execution lapse.
Moreover, the police arrested two people who were suspected of dumping gravel and sand illegally in green spaces. They, too, were subject to fines and jail terms.
The CDA government emphasized that they were committed to protecting Islamabad’s natural beauty and that anyone who compromised the city’s attractiveness, no matter how powerful or well-respected, would face harsh consequences.
