CDA to Construct 4,400 Housing Units, through Metropolitan Police
Islamabad: City managers made significant decisions on Monday, including the construction of 4,400 affordable housing units, the creation of the Metropolitan Police, and the securing of the construction of three roadways through the Ministry of Defence.
Amer Ali Ahmed, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) board, presided over the meeting. It made the decision to build the residences in Alipur Farash.
Through the CDA and the beneficiaries of Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority, the apartments will be distributed to displaced Katchi abadis.

The federal government will make the final choice, however the CDA board recommended for these arrangements. The board member claimed that because Defense installations were situated along a portion of the alignment of these roadways, the decision was made to expedite development and avoid problems between the CDA and the Defence ministry.
He claimed that both the FWO and NLC were capable of completing large-scale road projects, and he added that in the past, all of the CDA’s significant projects had encountered problems, including delays and concerns about their transparency.
The board resolved to use non-executive members’ services for city development. The opinions of architects Dada and Ali Asghar will be incorporated into the building of 4,400 dwelling units as well as the improvement of F-9 Park.
