CDA to Dualize Pir Sohawa Road Adding Other Route to Bari Imam
Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal brought up the increased traffic congestion on Pir Sohawa Road, which has become a hassle for the Capital Territory Administration, during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, which was presided over by MNA Nuzhat Pathan. In order to connect the Margalla Hills National Park to the Federal Capital and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the CDA will take the initiative to dualize Pir Sohawa Road and establish a backup route to Bari Imam.

CDA will design a different route from Monal to Bari Imam in order to enhance and lessen traffic congestion. The PC-1 project, to build a reception and information centre along Pir Sohawa Road in the National Park, was also made public by CDA Chairman Mengal.
Additionally, the CDA has made significant efforts to safeguard the national park. The CDA is also working to reduce plastic pollution by putting up gazebos, benches, and trash cans made of reusable plastic all across the Federal Capital.
