CDA to Focus on Blue Area’s Development for Trade Growth
Islamabad: On July 29, Mr. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, the president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to concentrate on the development of the Blue Area in order to promote overall economic growth and ease trade activities. Blue Area traders vowed to generously assist ICCI in resolving their problems and emphasized their unwavering support for it.

The growth of the Blue Area will be essential for expanding the economy, according to the ICCI President, who emphasized the significance of Islamabad’s major commercial hub. ‘Parking’ is a significant issue that needs to be addressed in the Blue Area, it was mentioned at the discussion. To address this issue until the parking plaza work is finished, the ICCI President suggested allowing parking on the Fazal Haq Road green space.

The president of the Blue Area Traders Welfare Association, Mr. Raja Hassan Akhtar, emphasized the significant difficulties faced by market vendors. He pointed out the primary problems that need CDA’s immediate attention, including the broken streetlights, the shortage of parking spaces, and the sewerage systems. In the Blue Area, he also argued for the establishment of a flower market and emphasized the significance of tree pruning.
