CDA to Take Up IJP Road, 7th Avenue Interchange Road Projects
Islamabad: According to news reports, the Capital Construction Authority (CDA) board is scheduled to approve two road development projects for Islamabad at its upcoming meeting.
These projects, which will be carried out by the Frontier Works Organization, consist of the construction of the 7th Avenue Interchange and the repair of the I.J.P road (FWO).

According to the specifics, the PKR 7.5 billion projects will be assigned to the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) due to the size and urgency of the projects.
The cloverleaf-shaped 7th Avenue junction road infrastructure project with four left and four right loops will cost PKR 1.5 billion. In addition, a tunnel will connect the two sections of Khayaban-e-Suharwardy. The IJP road improvement and expansion project would cost 6 billion Pakistani rupees.

Moreover, the IJP road is being constructed with the considerable traffic flow from Azad Jammu and Kashmir to Rawalpindi, Taxila, Attock, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in mind (AJK). However, the road was not designed to accommodate so much traffic, resulting in its deteriorating state.
