CDA to Upgrade Infrastructure in Various Sectors of Islamabad
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is actively taking action to guarantee that inhabitants have access to necessary urban amenities and that infrastructure is revitalized.
These efforts cover a wide range of projects, including the installation of new street lighting, resurfacing of existing roads, and the resolving of long-standing water-related issues that have been ignored in the past.

“A focused approach is being adopted to finalise pending development projects within the I, G, H, and D sectors,” a CDA official told the media. This entails supporting homeowners and builders in these industries in addition to improving public amenities. These initiatives follow the recommendations made by CDA Chairman Noor ul Amin Mengal.
“Significant progress is being made in the installation of streetlights along main thoroughfares and within the various sectors,” the source continued. Sectors I-11, I-10, I-14, I-16, and D-12 are included in this comprehensive lighting programme, among others.
The official stated, “The CDA has now resumed the task of illuminating Sector D-12, although there was a delay due to legal complications.” The project had first run into problems after a contract issue turned into a court battle.

“This setback led to the project’s suspension, which created uncertainty. Fortunately, the legal issues—including worries about cost growth—have been successfully resolved, the official said. The official continued, “The contracted party has assured the CDA of the project’s completion within the next three months.” when these issues were resolved.
The official went on to say, “Sector D-12’s lack of adequate street lighting has contributed to a recent rise in street-level criminal activity. As a result, concerned citizens have brought these matters up with the appropriate authorities.
