The Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV has officially been launched in Pakistan, entering the growing hybrid SUV market where it will directly compete with the Jaecoo J7 PHEV.
Both plug-in hybrid vehicles are closely matched in terms of specifications, especially performance and battery capacity, making them strong rivals in the emerging electrified SUV segment.
Size and Dimensions
The Tiggo 7 PHEV measures 4,553 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, and 1,696 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The Jaecoo J7 PHEV is slightly shorter at 4,500 mm but a bit wider at 1,865 mm and lower at 1,670 mm, with a marginally longer wheelbase of 2,672 mm.
Performance Comparison
Both SUVs deliver identical output figures of 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque, paired with an 18.3 kWh battery pack. Each model offers an electric-only driving range of around 90 kilometers under WLTP standards.
In acceleration, the Tiggo 7 PHEV goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, while the J7 PHEV completes the same sprint slightly slower at 8.5 seconds.
Features and Interior
On the technology side, the Tiggo 7 PHEV comes equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display and an eight-speaker Sony sound system. The J7 PHEV counters with a larger 14.8-inch infotainment screen while offering a similar audio setup.
Pricing Difference
One of the key differences between the two models is pricing. The Tiggo 7 PHEV has been launched at Rs. 9,499,000, whereas the Jaecoo J7 PHEV is priced at Rs. 10,499,000, making Chery’s offering relatively more affordable.
