China has said it remains Pakistan’s strongest and most reliable partner, no matter how global politics change. The statement came after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad during an official visit.
In a message shared on social media, the Chinese foreign ministry said the friendship between the two countries is firm and unbreakable.
Wang Yi’s visit to Pakistan, held from August 20 to 22, 2025, included meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
The trip was part of the sixth China–Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, where both sides discussed the next phase of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC 2.0), along with plans to boost trade, defence, security, and regional stability.
