A parrot in China has wowed the world with its intelligence, earning a Guinness World Record for the fastest color recognition by a bird. The parrot, named Xiaogui, was adopted by Chen Feng in 2020 and has now made history with his unique skill.

In the record-setting challenge, Xiaogui sorted 10 different colors in just 33.5 seconds. He was tasked with picking up colored balls and placing them into their matching boxes. At one point, he placed a dark pink ball into the light pink box but quickly corrected himself, a move that impressed the judges with his sharp awareness. Guinness World Records later confirmed him as the fastest color-recognizing parrot in the world.

According to Feng, the training began when he noticed Xiaogui’s love for playing with colorful balls. What started as a simple game gradually turned into structured practice, helping the bird develop a rare and remarkable talent.

Xiaogui’s achievement has been celebrated globally, not only as a proud moment for his owner but also as a powerful reminder of the hidden intelligence animals can display when given attention, care, and encouragement.
