City to Have Three New Trauma Centres
Lahore’s chief minister, Usman Buzdar, has announced the establishment of three new trauma centres and emergency blocks.

Over 56 kanals of land in front of Jinnah Hospital, Buzdar stated an additional 300-bed trauma centre and emergency block would be created. He added that a 1,000-bed hospital would be constructed on Ferozepur Road on 123 kanals, including a special 200-bed wing for thalassemia patients.
Buzdar stated that the Punjab Agriculture Food and Drug Authority would be made operational as soon as possible, that funds would be allocated on a priority basis for the early completion of Nishtar-II Hospital in Multan and Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan, and that the new OPD block of Parvez Elahi Institute of Cardiology in Multan would aid the patients there.

The chief minister also ordered the speedy completion of the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences in Jubilee Town and referred to the universal health care scheme as an innovative initiative.
