CM Directed More Swift Work on KP Cities Improvement Project
Peshawar: According to news reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has ordered the relevant agencies to immediately begin purchasing land in order to deploy the KP Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP).

With the help of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the megacity improvement effort “KPOP” is being started to upgrade five important provincial cities in KP, including Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Mardan, and Swat.
According to the official press release, the CM was briefed on the specifics of the project and its status. The project involves developing solid waste management systems, sewage treatment facilities, and clean and green efforts in addition to plans to upgrade the current clean water and sewage infrastructure.

Participants in the discussion were informed that the project’s initial goal is to give residents facilities and raise their quality of life. The strategy also includes revamping the municipal system. The project plan has also been finalised, and the meeting was informed that the tenders are being processed.
