Peshawar – Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has started two new help programs for orphans and widows.

On Monday, he gave special cards to orphan children and widowed women in a ceremony in Peshawar.

Orphan children aged 5 to 16 will get Rs. 5,000 every month. At first, 9,000 children will get this money.

Widowed women aged 45 and older will get Rs. 5,000 every month. The program will start with 15,000 widows.

Money will be sent by the 5th of each month, starting this month. Because of Eid, the first payment will be double — Rs. 10,000 for May and June.

The government chose the people who will get money fairly. More people can apply in July.

The Chief Minister said the government is also working to help more poor people. Other projects include giving electric wheelchairs to disabled people, adding more health treatments to the Sehat Card, and increasing the dowry fund to help girls get married.
