CM Initiates Timely Completion of S Punjab Secretariat
Usman Buzdar, the chief minister of Punjab, described the groundbreaking for the south Punjab secretariat as a historic event and said it had satisfied a long-standing demand of the populace.

According to Mr. Buzdar, more than 27,000 schools have received upgrades, with 38% of them being in south Punjab. He claimed that the 1.3 trillion rupees in unfinished projects that his government inherited are now being finished to benefit the populace.
In Multan, these comprised improvements for 47 roads, 23 water supply and disposal systems, 9 schools, 6 healthcare facilities, and other departments.

Other projects, according to him, included municipal government, public services, urban forestry, worker housing colonies, highways, shelter houses, hospitals, and projects involving public-private partnerships.
According to the chief minister, Rs3.54 billion would be used to finish the south Punjab secretariat. A bill is being prepared to set aside jobs for young people in south Punjab.

The Nishtar-2 project has also begun, and the Multan Municipal Corporation has been accorded the status of a metropolitan corporation.
The chief minister said that an AstroTurf field will be constructed on Mattital Road in Multan at a cost of more than Rs 450 million in order to promote the game of hockey.
