The ‘CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi’ project has now been raised to Nankana Sahib following its successful implementation in Lahore and Kasur. This endeavor, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, focuses on enhancing public safety and providing free internet access to citizens across the province.

In Nankana Sahib, the service has been introduced at 5 key public locations, including Masjid Chowk, Tehsil Morr Chowk, Kutchehry Rail Crossing, and the railway station. The initiative has already seen around 25,000 users in the city, with a total data consumption of 250GB.
The project is also set to expand further within Lahore, with plans to install free Wi-Fi services at 250 additional locations. Kasur currently offers free Wi-Fi at ten sites, such as the District Headquarters Hospital, Women’s College, and New Bus Terminal, with 20 locations scheduled to receive the service soon.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed satisfaction with the positive response to the free Wi-Fi initiative in Lahore, which has already benefitted over five million people. She announced that Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala will soon have access to this facility as well. Additionally, the Safe City Authority is expected to be established in 18 cities of Punjab by the end of the year.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of this service, especially for women and female students, in providing support during emergencies.
