CM to Place Foundation Stone of Sheranwala Gate Flyover
In the coming days, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar will formally lay the foundation stone for the Sheranwala Gate Flyover project, according to an LDA Facebook post.

The 4.90 billion PKR project is anticipated to address the growing issue in the city’s most populous area. Once completed, the project will be able to accommodate 130,000 vehicles per day, reducing traffic congestion and commuting time.
Circular Road, Masti Gate, Badami Bagh, the Railway Station, and all neighbouring areas of the city are anticipated to benefit from the project. In addition, the one-kilometer-long flyover will connect the Naulakha Police Station to the Sheranwala Gate, Yaki Gate, and Delhi Gate via the Naulakha Police Station. Additionally, it concludes at Australia Chowk Railway Road.

By design, the flyover’s highest point has a 400-meter elevation. According to the proposed design and budget breakdown, LDA has spent PKR 2 billion to acquire 22 kanals of land, with PKR 270 million expected to be saved through a transparent bidding and tendering process.
Reportedly, the Sheranwala Gate Flyover project was announced alongside the Gulab Devi Underpass and Shahkam Flyover projects in May of this year.
