Gen Asim Munir praises media’s role in promoting national unity and responsible journalism
Islamabad — Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has commended the Pakistani media for its effective and responsible response to Indian propaganda, highlighting its role in strengthening national unity and presenting Pakistan’s narrative with clarity and confidence.
In an informal interaction with journalists, Gen Munir emphasized that nothing had been hidden from the public. “We have concealed nothing; everything has been presented to the nation in a clear and transparent manner,” he said.

He lauded the media’s courage and strategic communication, stating, “The way our media confronted Indian narratives—with both courage and strategic insight—was truly remarkable. We are proud of our journalists and media institutions.”
Gen Munir further noted that Pakistani media had played a pivotal role in reinforcing a collective national identity. “The media has shown the world that Pakistan is a vibrant and vigilant nation,” he said, recognizing its contribution in shaping public discourse during challenging times.
