Communication Ministry Directed to Work on Zhob-Quetta
According to news sources, Planning Minister Asad Umar urged the Ministry of Communication to expedite the development of the Zhob-Quetta Road and Thakot-Raikot Road projects during a meeting of the Pak-China Relations Steering Committee on Monday in Islamabad.

On this occasion, guests were advised that local and international investor interest in the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ) was growing and that any delay in finalizing a developer for the project could be problematic. As a result, it was resolved at the meeting that the Planning Minister should discuss this matter with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The meeting continued to examine the Allama Iqbal Industrial City, with a representative from the Board of Investment announcing that the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company board member list had been finalized (FIEDMC).
In addition, the committee reviewed the delay in providing utilities to the Gwadar Port and Free Zone.

In this regard, the meeting was told of the prospective investment opportunity in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at Gwadar, as well as the fact that three large corporations have already expressed interest in the development of LNG terminals in the region. Asad Umar, the Minister of Planning, issued a directive to the Ministry of Petroleum to enable investors and communicate with the relevant ministries to resolve any associated difficulties.
